NZARE puts out several publications – the newsletter Input, The New Zealand Journal of Educational Research and occasional monographs.

Input - He Panui o Te Hunga Rangahau Maatauranga o Aotearoa - is NZARE's newsletter and is published three times per year. Input serves to link members across New Zealand and beyond and keep us informed of research and scholarship relevant to education in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

We welcome contributions relevant to any of the following categories which will be of interest to Inputmembers:

The New Zealand Journal of Educational Studies (NZJES) is the official journal of the New
Zealand Association for Research in Education. Members of NZARE receive two issues per year.

The co-editors of NZJES are Dr Liz Gordon and Dr Trish Johnston. For details on submission of manuscripts, refer to the publication guidelines below. Manuscripts for submissions should be forwarded to NZJES@nzare.org.nz, and hard copies to The Co-Editors, NZJES, PO Box 2031, Christchurch.

Aim of NZJES

The aim of NZJES is to nurture and promote educational research. The journal is both multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary in approach. It includes original reports, critical reviews of educational theory and policy, discussions and commentaries on conceptual and methodological issues in educational research, reports on research in progress, and book reviews. The NZJES may occasionally publish Special Issues, depending upon current needs, emerging trends, and readership interests.

NZJES is sent to the entire NZARE membership, as well as to a host of libraries, research centres, and educational institutions. Individual copies as well as back issues are also available for purchase by sending an email to NZJES@nzare.org.nz.
