FORTHCOMING NZARE Conference AND ANNUAL MEETING
The 2014 NZARE conference will be held jointly with AARE in Brisbane.
WHAT IS NZARE?
The New Zealand Association for Research in Education aims to foster excellence
in educational research in Aotearoa-New Zealand. The beginnings of NZARE were recounted by Dr Geraldine McDonald in her 2006 Herbison lecture, A spirited beginning: The origins of the New Zealand Association for Research in Education.

NZARE publishes the New Zealand
Journal of Educational Studies (NZJES) and a newsletter (Input - He Panui o Te Hunga
Rangahau Maatauranga o Aotearoa), and organises national conferences and special
interest seminars.
Proposals are invited for NZJES special issue 2014. More...
Through a range of awards NZARE recognises and honours high achievements in education research. NZARE supports educational researchers, including post-graduate students, and provides assistance to selected presentations at international conferences.
NZARE has three caucus groups with representation on the Council: Māori, Pasifika and students. Recently, te Early Childhood Education special interest group (SIG) was established.
NZARE disseminates the results of research
through its various activities and provides an important voice on matters relating to research in education.
